My materials
Bruyère
For my pipe bowls, I only use high-quality, carefully dried briar wood from the Mediterranean region, especially Italy. Briar wood comes from the root tuber of the tree heather (Erica arborea), which is mainly found in the Mediterranean region. This wood is characterized by exceptional heat resistance and a beautiful grain, which makes it the ideal material for pipes. In my opinion, briar wood offers the best properties in terms of durability, heat resistance and aesthetics.

Ebonite
For my mouthpieces I use ebonite, a hard rubber that is created by vulcanizing natural rubber with sulfur. I get my ebonite as raw rods from Germany, as German ebonite is known for its excellent quality. Compared to acrylic, I find ebonite to be a little softer and more pleasant in the mouth, which further improves the smoking pleasure.
Decorative materials
I also use classic designs for the decorative materials used in pipe stems and mouthpieces. I believe that these materials should be used wisely and in appropriate amounts to enhance the natural beauty of the wood and the shape of the pipe. My favorite accent materials are horn, bamboo, imitation ivory, precious woods and occasionally colored ebonite.
